Tap aerators restrict water flow from the tap without reducing water pressure. Typical taps discharge 15 to 18 litres a minute. Tap aerators can cut water flow by up to 50% without affecting water pressure. This means that most tasks will require much less water.
Tap aerators are available at most plumbing stores. There are indoor and outdoor models, as each needs different fittings.
