Home Energy Advice Centres now operating in Canterbury, Auckland and Wellington

17 March 2009

The new Canterbury Home Energy Advice Centre opened on 13 March 2009. The Christchurch centre joins sister centres in Wellington and Auckland. The centres provide free, independent, professional advice to help you reduce your energy consumption. The friendly people on the end of the phone can answer your questions about insulation, heating and renewable energy technologies. The centres’ advisors also use their local knowledge to answer queries on council rules, local energy company prices and specific projects operating in your area. For free, independent, and locally relevant energy saving advice, call 0800 388 588 to speak to an advisor, or see www.energyadvice.org.nz. Home Energy Advice Centres are managed by the Energy Efficiency Community Network (link to http://www.eecn.org.nz) with funding from the Ministry for the Environment (link to www.mfe.govt.nz).
