The winning films range from dramas and documentaries, to animation and a video diary. Judges from the television industry, education and youth development sectors selected the 20 winners from a wide pool of high-quality entries.

Four of the winning entries also received special awards, including the Film-making Achievement Award for 14-year-old Calvin Sang’s animated fable Mr Box, and the Sustainable Future Award for Team Waiheke’s film Matariki 2008.

The 20 winning films will be broadcast from 5 December on TVNZ 6 Family on Freeview and will also be available at TNVZ ondemand.
