Trade your tired old car for a brand spanking new bike!

Hey guys. Just thought I would let you all lucky Wellingtonians know about the 'Green My Ride' and 'Pimp My Bike' events being run by the Wellington City Council.

On Tuesday 11 November from 7am-9.30am the council are putting on a wicked new event called 'Green my ride'- swap a car for a sweet commuter bike and 'Pimp my bike'-where they will transform one lucky winner's bike into a commuters dream! This will be a morning where people from all over Wellington bike to work and can come and celebrate cycling at Frank Kitts Park.

There will be a band, free breakfast, and heaps of bike accessories to give away. It's also a great chance to meet other like minded cycling peeps, so if you're not doing anything that morning, come on down and kick start your day in a different way.

If you're keen to either swap your car or pimp your bike, send a link to your YouTube page or email the Wellington City Council at leanne.parsons@wcc.govt.nz and tell them why you need their help. Entries close on Thursday 6 November at 5pm, so get cracking

For more information, check out Feeling Great website or contact Leanne at the Wellington City Council (leanne.parsons@wcc.govt.nz).

I have a tired old car that I would love to swap for a brand new bike! What a shame I live in Auckland.

Hmmm... If I started pushing now I might be able to get my car to Wellington by November 11...
