Working away from the office (Teleworking)

Working from home can reduce your transport costs

A great way of reducing transport use is to work away from the office – ‘teleworking’. The term teleworking refers to the use of telecommunication links/networks to replace work-related travel. Teleworkers work where it is most convenient for them instead of travelling in to a traditional office every day, be that at home, at a library or at a work station close to home.

Teleworkers not only benefit by spending less money on transport, but they can save time by avoiding the commute and are more productive as they can work when it suits them.
